Commentary by Deb & Al Bingham, long time Upper Pottsgrove residents, concerning the lawsuit Elwood Taylor, Albert Leach, and Tyrone Robinson filed against the Township right after the contracts for the new Township building were signed:
This latest suit is an attack on the Township and the taxpayers. The first time it was frivolous; now, the second time, it is just insulting. It is insulting to the employees and the taxpayers.
If the township has to renege on the contracts that were legally approved at a Township board meeting, it will cost a whole lot of money that we the taxpayers will be on the hook for. And what an opportune time to have filed this before the election.
This is nothing more than a pure political stunt. Are Taylor, Leach and Robinson against the location, the building of the municipal complex in general or what? This will never end. They surely don’t care about the Township employees. And by the way, if Mr. Taylor, who is a retired teacher had to work in the conditions that the township employees do, I would bet he would be one of the first to complain and the school would be shut down.
